About Leo
Introducing Leo – A Gentle Soul with a Touch of Cheetah
Leo is looking for a home to call his very own. Currently in foster care, his carers describe him as a placid, sweet-natured young boy with a heart full of love.
It's almost impossible not to fall in love with Leo's beautiful, soft, expressive eyes. His foster carer is convinced Leo believes he's part cheetah! With his striking eyes and long graceful stride, he certainly looks the part. He strolls around with slow steady confidence but don't let that fool you—when a feather wand or toy ball appears, Leo can burst into action at lightning speed.
Despite his impressive athletic abilities, Leo is a big gentle softie who simply loves being close to his people. He'll gently weave around your legs, nudge your hand for pats and reward you with affectionate head bumps whenever he'd like some attention. He is a calm, easy-going cat whose relaxed nature has a wonderful way of putting everyone at ease. Leo has glided into his foster carers home with ease and would do so again when adopted.
When he's not spending time with his humans, Leo enjoys chasing his favourite soft toys around the house before stretching out in a sunny spot for a well-earned nap. He has the perfect balance of playful energy and laid-back charm.
Leo currently shares his foster home with other cats and a large dog who absolutely adores cats, so he would happily fit into a home with other friendly pets.
Whether you're looking for a loving family companion or a loyal feline friend to brighten your days, Leo could be the perfect match.
If you would like to adopt Leo, please complete a pre-adoption application. If your application is successful, one of our volunteers will be in touch to arrange a meet and greet.
Leo is currently in foster care at Kellyville.
Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from our foster carers & pounds. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Pre-adoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Please note that several people may be applying for the same cat so we need time to review all applicants. We do not re-home to the first to apply, we re-home to who best suits the needs of the cat or kitten. All applications will be considered individually and approval will be at the discretion of the AWL NSW Branch Representative, with their decision being final.
