My Ideal Home:
• Familiarity and understanding of my breed traits would be highly valued.
• I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors - not left outside without interaction.
• As a social and playful pup, I may really enjoy attending doggy daycare.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I'd love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• Regular grooming and brushing will keep me looking and feeling my best.
• Most importantly, I'm looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• Socialisation is just as important as training. Taking me to new places, introducing me to all sorts of people, dogs, and other animals will help me grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog.
• Training, training, training - it's essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion as I mature.
• I'm still a puppy, which means I will chew, nip, have accidents, bark, and sometimes be a little destructive. With patience, consistency, and training, I'll learn - but I need a family fully committed to putting in the time and effort to help me succeed.
• I am great with other dogs and would love a friendly dog playmate - or, if I'm your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs.
• With a slow and thoughtful introduction, I would be ok to live with a dog friendly cat.


My Paw-some Perks:
• I'm a very playful, happy pup with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I'm excited.
• I'm highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly. I already know how to sit.
• I'm very social and happy to hang out with other friendly dogs - total social butterfly!
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I'm quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I adore water and will happily splash in my bowl, chase the hose, or take a swim in a basin or river.
• I'm clever, enthusiastic, and would thrive with a family who'll continue my training and maybe even teach me some cool new tricks.
• A darling boy who is still young enough to adapt to any lifestyle/home

Training & Support Needs:
• I haven't had any formal training yet, so I'll need help with all my basic manners and life skills. The good news is I love food which will make positive training lots of fun and rewarding for me.
• I've only recently started learning to walk on lead at the shelter. I'm improving every day, but I can still be a little slow, erratic or fearful at times. With patience and regular walks, I'll soon gain confidence and enjoy my daily strolls.

Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Rex if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
