🐱 Bruce
Male | Desexed | Microchipped | Vaccinated | 2 years old
Bruce is a sweet, gentle boy who has very quickly decided that indoor life is the correct life. Warm beds, regular meals, and a safe place to sleep? He’s all in.
He didn’t start out confident with people, but once he discovered scratches, everything changed. Bruce is now proudly “Mr Chirpy,” greeting his humans with soft little purrs and happy noises as he checks in for attention. If you’re nearby, he’ll come over already rumbling, just making sure you’re available for what he has planned… which is usually pats.
When Bruce gets his scratches, he leans all the way in, fully committed, until he gently flops onto his side in contentment. It’s an all-or-nothing experience, and he expects you to participate properly.
He is still learning things like laps and being picked up, but he is making fast progress and shows a lot of trust with his person. Once he feels safe, he is affectionate, engaged, and genuinely wants to be close.
Bruce would love a home where he can have a few dedicated “love sessions” each day. He’s not demanding, just very appreciative, and it shows.
⸻
🏡 What Bruce would love in an owner
Someone patient and understanding while he continues building confidence
A calm home (or one with older, respectful children)
A person who enjoys affection on a regular basis
A household that can offer routine and consistency
Someone willing to manage his enthusiasm for food (he loves it)
⸻
Bruce has excellent litter habits and is very clean.
He does still startle with loud noises or sudden movement and may hide, but he recovers quickly and is soon back out, checking in again like nothing happened. His progress in a short time has been impressive, and he continues to grow in confidence every day.
He enjoys a good window watch, especially when birds are involved, but has shown no real desire to return to outdoor life. A comfy spot and a view are more his speed now.
Bruce has come a long way in a short time. Underneath it all, he’s a soft, affectionate cat who just needed the chance to feel safe. Once he trusts you, you’ll have a companion who shows up purring, ready for love (and possibly snacks).
