About Dolly - 5 Year Old Greyhound
Well hello Dolly! This 5-year-old Greyhound is affectionate and enjoys snuggling. Cuddly Dolly is small (about 25kgs) and loves to spend time with her people. She came to her family directly from her trainer and has adapted well to life as a pet.
Dolly would benefit from being in a quiet home as an only dog, she’d prefer not to share the attention and get all the belly rubs. She would love to have access to a backyard or courtyard as she loves to sniff around and sunbake. Dolly is ready to leave the busy city lights behind her and hoping for a tree change. She finds the busy streets overwhelming and when she’s out on walks, she is wary and reactive with other dogs and loud noises (like traffic, street noise etc). So quieter paths on walks would be far more enjoyable for Dolly. She has responded well to training and responding to commands while on lead, and her confidence is improving every day, but living in quiet area would make her much happier.
Dolly is looking for a family that will continue working with her on building these skills. She is great with kids and women but takes a little longer to warm up to unknown men and will avoid being near new people at first. Once she knows who her people are she has so much love and affection to give.
When Dolly feels safe she loves to lay on her back and demand gentle belly rubs. She is very communicative and lets you know when she's feeling content with little sighs and gruffs. She is toilet trained and lets you know when she needs to go outside. Dolly loves going for drives and travels well in the car. She is suitable for full time workers, kids over 10 but not for a home with cats or pocket pets.
Dolly's favourite part of everyday is when her family comes home - she races to the door and does adorable little spins to welcome you home.
