If you’ve ever felt lonely walking from the kitchen to the living room, Alira is here to solve that problem. This gorgeous girl just wants to be near you. She is a true "shadow dog" who will happily follow you from room to room, content just to be in your presence.

True to her breed, Alira absolutely loves her food (and won't let you forget dinner time!). While she wasn't initially big on toys, her foster family has watched her playful side bloom more and more each day. When she isn’t requesting belly rubs, you can find her snoozing soundly on her bed inside the house. She loves her routine and is happiest as an indoor dog who gets to sleep in the bedrooms near her pack.

Alira is a well-mannered lady most of the time, but she isn't afraid to let her cheeky Labrador personality shine through! She is finally learning how wonderful life can be, which means she now gives and receives kisses with pure enthusiasm. Expect the ultimate welcome-home committee every time you walk through the front door—she greets her favorite people with unforgettable excitement. While she has settled well with kids, she is definitely an "adults-first" kind of girl. Her true loyalty lies with her main caregivers. She loves loves loves her walks but needs a bit of work on the lead.

Alira is ready to be the center of someone's universe, and she is looking to be the only pet in the home. She isn’t great with other animals just yet, but with time and patience and controlled socialisation, she will get there. She is independent enough to be left alone at times, but she wouldn't do well being left entirely by herself every single day. A home with a predictable routine is where she will truly thrive.
