Meet Buffy

Buffy is a beautiful Beagle/Harrier cross who is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can continue to grow in confidence and discover just how wonderful life can be.

This sweet girl can be quite nervous and timid when meeting new people and experiencing new environments, but once she has a chance to settle into a secure area, her curious personality begins to shine through. True to her breed, Buffy loves to explore and investigate every sight, scent, and corner she can find. If there's something to sniff, Buffy is determined to check it out!

One of the quickest ways to Buffy's heart is through food-particularly bacon Schmackos! She was more than happy to climb onto a lap in exchange for a tasty treat, showing that beneath her cautious exterior is a dog who is keen to build connections with people she trusts.

Buffy has shown some interest in games like fetch and tug, although her nose often wins the battle for her attention. There are simply too many exciting smells to investigate! We suspect that as her confidence grows, so too will her playful and affectionate side.

Buffy will need a calm home committed to helping her build confidence at her own pace. She can be easily startled by sudden noises and unexpected movements, so a quieter household without young children would likely suit her best. Interestingly, Buffy appeared much more relaxed and confident when meeting another dog, suggesting she may enjoy the company of a calm and friendly canine companion.
