Coming from a colony of 82 - yes 82! - street cats, Captain surprised everyone with his sudden turn around to making up for lost smooch time. This is a cat who prefers head rubs over treats, and will gladly stand on his head and roll about trying to get more.
Captain also loves to play. Offer him a dangle string or wiggle something under a rug and he is thoroughly entertained.
But he is also a gentle fellow and takes a little time to warm up to new people, so introductory steps to a new environment are what will be needed for him to relax into your home. But he's more than ready for the next step of being loved and cared for in a home.

As he has been with a colony of cats, Captain will thrive best with another confident cat while he settles in. We are not sure as yet how he will be with young children but if they are gentle and considerate, he will likely warm to them as he does with adults.
