Meet Zeus, a soulful four year old Staffy who is an absolute sweetheart just searching for a family to truly understand him. Zeus found himself at the shelter after his previous owners could no longer afford to give him the care he needed. Despite this upsetting change in lifestyle, Zeus has a stiff upper lip and is ready to find his new people.

Because Zeus is a big fan of showing his affection by getting quite jumpy when he is excited, he is best suited for an adults only household where everyone is old enough to safely handle his enthusiastic greetings. He also experiences some separation anxiety when left alone, which can lead to him barking as he voices how much he misses his people. The ideal home for Zeus would have owners who are home more often than not to help him feel secure. To ensure his success, the shelter will happily offer post adoption support and guidance to help his new family manage and work through his alone-time anxiety together.

Zeus is a very excited boy around other dogs, sometimes a little too excited. Because of this, he requires to be the only dog in the home. He is still working hard on his impulse control and learning how to keep his cool around other canines, so his new owners will need to commit to ongoing training to help him polish his social manners.

Behind his tough appearance lies a incredibly cuddly, affectionate boy who loves nothing more than settling down with his favorite toys and a good bone. He is a sensitive soul who is simply a little misunderstood, and with the right guidance, he is going to make an exceptionally loyal companion.
