Arlo

At just one year old, Arlo is at that perfect age where he's left most of the puppy craziness behind but still has all the enthusiasm, curiosity and trainability of a young dog. He's ready to become someone's loyal best friend.

Arlo is a total snuggler who loves being close to his people. Whether it's relaxing on the couch, sleeping on the bed, or following his foster carer from room to room, he's happiest when he's with his humans.

He loves his daily walks and walks beautifully on a harness. He's friendly with other dogs, travels well in the car, and is always up for an adventure. Arlo is also a clever boy who enjoys enrichment toys, lick mats and puzzle games, and loves working alongside his people.

Arlo forms incredibly strong bonds with his people and thrives on companionship. He would be happiest in a home where someone is around more often than not, or with a confident canine companion to keep him company. As a dog who loves being part of the family, he's looking for a home where he can enjoy plenty of connection and inclusion. He is still learning that being left alone is okay, so he'll need time to settle into his new home and build confidence before being left for longer periods.

In his foster home, Arlo lives with cats and has made it his job to look after them. He's incredibly gentle and respectful with them, showing a sweet and caring nature.

Due to his medium-to-large size and youthful energy, Arlo would be best suited to a home with older children. He will also require secure, high fencing around a nice big and enriching yard to keep this adventurous young boy safe.
