Bella is a 5yo Kelpie with a confident, independent nature and a developing personality that continues to emerge as she settles and builds trust. She presents as a dog who is most comfortable when allowed to engage on her own terms and may respond best to consent based handling, particularly as she can initially show tension with more formal handling. With time and space, she is able to soften and become more at ease and tactile. Bella would suit an owner who allows her to build a bond gradually, without pressure or forced interaction, and who respects her need to initiate contact and engagement in her own time. She has a good history of socialising with other dogs and, while she may be initially reserved or tense in greetings, she can soften and shows interest in engaging at times. Best suited to rural property.
