About Dunlop
Dunlop's journey hasn't always been smooth, but this resilient young pup has shown he's built to go the distance.
Found wandering the streets in poor condition, Dunlop was taken in by a kind-hearted member of the community who cared for him overnight before he was handed over to the ranger. Covered in ticks and showing some concerning symptoms, Dunlop was tested for Ehrlichiosis (E.canis). The test came back positive, but the good news is that he was able to begin treatment straight away, giving him the best possible start on the road to recovery. Many dogs with E.canis go on to live happy, active lives, and Dunlop has been proving exactly that every day.
Since entering foster care, Dunlop has been cruising along beautifully with a loving family. Much like the tyre he's named after, he's dependable, adaptable and always ready for the next adventure. He's been well socialised, loves racing around with other dogs, has formed a special friendship with the resident foster kitten, and thinks children are fantastic fun.
Dunlop is embracing everything family life has to offer and is showing just how much potential was waiting to shine beneath the surface. With his playful nature, affectionate personality and positive outlook, this handsome boy is ready to roll into his next chapter.
