About Oreo
Hi, my name is Oreo!
I’m a handsome four-year-old Border Collie boy with a beautiful temperament, a gentle nature, and a new lease on life. When I first came into foster care, I was very overweight, but with lots of walks, a healthy routine, and a careful diet, I’ve worked hard to get down to a much healthier weight. Now I’m ready for the active lifestyle I deserve.
I’m a lovely, easygoing boy who enjoys being around people. I’m fine with children and strangers, and I have a calm, friendly nature that makes me easy to love. I get along well with other dogs, although I’m also quite happy doing my own thing. It took me a little while to warm up, but I’ve started playing with the dog in my foster home and now enjoy having a mate around.
I love chasing a ball, though I’ll admit I’m not very good at bringing it back yet. I walk beautifully on lead, and in safe off-leash areas like the bush or a park, I stay close and don’t wander off. I know my basic commands, sleep well either inside or outside, and have good manners around the home.
I’m not overly focused on food or treats, and I’m very relaxed at mealtimes. I happily eat near my foster friend and don’t need to be separated for feeding. I’m also happy to play with toys around another dog and don’t mind sharing my space.
I’d suit a family looking for a loyal, gentle and well-mannered companion. I would be happy living with another friendly dog, or as your one-and-only best mate. I’d love a home that will keep me active, continue my healthy routine, and give me the love and care I deserve.
If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal Border Collie with a big heart and a beautiful nature, then fill out the adoption form—I can’t wait to find my forever home!
Love and licks,
Oreo
