Hi, my name is Chardonnay, but Chardy to my friends! ❤️

I am a 1 year old German Shepherd who is loving, playful good girl who really, really loves my people.

Companionship is everything to me, which is pretty typical for my breed. If you let me, I would happily spend all day inside with you, following you around and keeping you company. I just love being part of whatever my people are doing.

When I'm not inside with you, I love having a good yard to explore, sniff around and play in. Balls and bones are my favourite things and will keep me entertained for hours. I've already been through a few footys, so anything you give me needs to be VERY durable! 😂

And then there is WATER. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE water play! If you bring out the hose, forget it... that hose is mine! I will jump, chase it like my life depends on it. 💦😂

I'm very food motivated, which is great because I'm still learning my manners and commands. I've already learnt some basic commands and I'm a very clever girl, so I'm sure there is plenty more I can learn with someone who is patient and consistent with me.

I'm also crate trained and sleep peacefully all night long. I'm pretty happy to settle down once the day is done.

I love going for walks, especially when I can take my time and sniff all the interesting things along the way. I do need someone with a bit of strength on the other end of the lead though, because when I get excited or something catches my attention, I can pull like a freight train! 🚂

When I meet new dogs, I can be a little shy at first. I just need a little time to work out who they are. If they're friendly and give me the chance, I warm up pretty quickly and I'm soon ready to have some fun. If my new family already has another dog, I think having a friendly, compatible playmate could be really lovely for me, provided they are introduced properly and we are a good match.

I haven't been tested with cats, so that's something my new family would need to take into consideration.

What I really want is pretty simple. I want people who will love me, include me, spend time with me and let me be part of their family. I'm an affectionate, goofy, playful girl with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart.

I'm looking for my forever people now. Someone who will give me love, patience, boundaries, adventures, a comfy place to sleep and, preferably, access to a hose. 😂❤️
I promise I'll give you plenty of love in return.
