About Bear
Warning: Bear is about to stop your scrolling... but please read the fine print before falling in love.
Bear is a 1-year, 8-month-old Labrador with all the classic Labrador features: good looks, enthusiasm, a love of food, and approximately zero consideration for the consequences of his actions.
This handsome young lad is very much in his teenage era. He's bouncy, loud, boisterous, occasionally reactive, and firmly believes that every idea is a good idea if it pops into his head. Thinking first and acting second? That's a skill he's still working on.
The good news? Bear would happily sell his soul for a snack. Food is the key to his heart and will be an invaluable tool for teaching him new skills, building his confidence, and helping him discover that not every situation requires maximum excitement.
Bear is searching for an active, experienced dog home that understands the unique joys (and occasional headaches) of raising an exuberant young Labrador. First-time dog owners need not apply-this boy is looking for someone who can laugh through the chaos while providing the structure, training, exercise, and mental enrichment he needs to thrive.
For now, Bear would do best as the only animal in the home while he works on his social skills. With time, training, and maturity, he may one day be able to calmly interact with other dogs, but right now he's focused on mastering the art of making good decisions.
If you've successfully survived raising a wild Labrador before and are ready to embark on another adventure filled with muddy paws, flying tennis balls, questionable life choices, and plenty of laughs, Bear is waiting to meet you.
