About Indigo
At just 11 months old, Indiana is a bright, busy and beautiful Kelpie X girl who is looking for a home that can keep up with her zest for life!
This clever young lady has energy to burn and would thrive with plenty of space to run, play and explore. If you're looking for a couch potato, keep scrolling... but if you're after a loyal sidekick for all of life's adventures, Indiana might just be your girl.
Indiana gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves having canine friends around. She's also discovered one of life's great joys — finding sticks, proudly bringing them inside and turning them into tiny stick confetti masterpieces. 🌳🤣
She's already showing the beginnings of a retrieve game, although she currently believes "fetch" means "you throw it, I keep it." She's learning that giving toys back can be just as rewarding and is a smart girl who enjoys learning new things.
Indiana adores attention and can get a little silly when she wants some love, but she's quickly learning that sitting politely earns all the pats and scratches she could ever want. She responds beautifully to calm guidance and positive reinforcement.
Being a young Kelpie X, Indiana has those classic herding instincts. She is not suited to a home with horses, as she enjoys chasing them. She has been good around poultry so far, however she is still young and learning. While she may happily coexist with chickens under supervision, we wouldn't trust her unsupervised just yet.
Indiana is looking for an active family who understands working breeds and can provide the exercise, training and enrichment she craves. In return, you'll get a fun-loving, affectionate best friend who is guaranteed to keep you smiling.
❤️ If your idea of a perfect day involves adventures, training sessions and a loyal shadow by your side, Indiana is ready to pack her bags and join your family.
