About Sunny
Meet Sunny!
Are you that special person who can give Sunny the special care and home she needs.
Beautiful Sunny was brought into a Melbourne Veterinary Clinic as a stray. When no private rescue in Melbourne was able to take her, the clinic searched far and wide for help. Cat Lovers Ballarat was asked to help and we did.
What followed was months of rehabilitation from a previously fractured pelvis (suspected to be an old injury from being hit by a car) but no complaints from this precious girl after enduring so much pain living as a stray!
She was happy to rest, to be spoilt and to have a full tummy. Gradually things improved and Sunny's sweet disposition shone through. She was able to trust people again. Affection is Sunny's strong point, she loves to smooch! You can pick her up, cuddle her, pet her, she is happy for any and all affection.
Sunny is an adorable, loving and super smoochy girl who is happiest when she’s surrounded by people. I’ve been fostering her for the past six months, and while she was a little shy for her first few days, it didn’t take long for her beautiful, joyful personality to shine through.
Sunny initially shared a catio with another cat and has recently moved indoors, where she’s slowly getting used to sharing her home with my two very gentle Labradors. With this experience, I believe Sunny could be happy living with a calm, quiet dog who will respect her space and allow her to settle in at her own pace.
Sunny is a truly sweet girl who has so much love to give and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for an affectionate, people-loving feline friend.
Diet: Sunny must follow a strict diet for the rest of her life. She eats Royal Canin Satiety Wet and Dry Food, this is to help keep her bowel function consistent. Due to her healed pelvis, she can experience constipation which is managed with a daily dose of laxative.

Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
