Say hello to Lilo, our adorable 4-year-old kelpie x with a heart of gold and the playfulness of a puppy! Petite in size but she makes up for this in charm, Lilo will win you over with her affectionate nature, and love for belly rubs.

The perfect home would have another social dog that Lilo could bond and play with and who would allow her to snuggle up next to them for a nap. She would love her humans to allow her the time to build trust and connections with them so that she knows she is safe and loved.

Lilo has blossomed in foster care, gradually building trust in humans and learning how wonderful gentle affection can be. She adores scratches around her ears and isn’t shy about asking for more - if you pause your pats too soon, expect a gentle nudge from Lilo's nose to remind you she’s not done yet!

When it’s time to rest, Lilo enjoys being near her humans, whether that's snuggling on your bed, curling up with you on the lounge, or enjoying the reassuring comfort of her crate. She loves close contact while she sleeps and will gladly tuck herself in next to you or her canine foster brother for a snooze, often using him as a pillow.

Playtime with Lilo is never boring! She ‘talks’ while she plays and is always eager to initiate a game of chase or wrestling with her foster siblings, sometimes earning the nickname ‘cheeky crocodile’ for her playful antics. She delights in tossing toys into the air and keeping everyone entertained with her silliness. Lilo is also happy playing in the yard and exploring the garden, hiding in the bushes ready to for a game of chase or swimming in the dam.

Lilo is just beginning her basic training, including learning to walk on a leash. Her future family must be committed to continuing her education, setting her up for success at home and out in the community. She’s already crate trained and is motivated to learn more, especially with some tasty treats and encouragement.
