Wesley is everything people love about Staffordshire Terriers – affectionate, people-oriented, confident and full of heart.
This handsome young boy came into ARK's care from the pound, but it was immediately apparent that he had been well cared for before finding himself homeless. He arrived in good condition and, more importantly, his behaviour suggests he has enjoyed a positive upbringing and has learned to trust the people around him.
Wesley is a cuddly, affectionate dog who genuinely enjoys human company. He is confident without being pushy and has a calm, trusting nature that makes him a pleasure to spend time with.
He is also dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs. Like many dogs, however, he appreciates having his personal space respected and can object if another dog is overly intrusive. Sensible introductions and normal canine manners are all that is required.
He is untested with cats.
At 19 kg, Wesley is a lovely medium-sized dog with the classic Staffy combination of strength, athleticism and an enormous capacity for affection. He enjoys being involved in family life and would thrive in a home where he is welcomed as a much-loved companion rather than simply a backyard dog.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
