Hi, I’m Zara!

I’m a seven-year-old working-line German Shepherd with a sharp mind, a loyal heart and a real zest for life.

Over the past year, I’ve lost almost 20 kilograms, and the transformation has been incredible. Shedding the extra weight has given me a whole new lease on life. I’m more active, more comfortable and ready to enjoy everything the world has to offer.

I have a way of turning heads wherever I go. My striking looks might catch people’s attention, but it’s my intelligence, presence and steady confidence that leave a lasting impression.

I’m crate trained and house trained, which makes me an easy girl to live with. I’m also Halti trained, e-collar trained and have successfully completed snake avoidance training. I currently live with other dogs and regularly attend doggy daycare.

As a working-line Shepherd, I’m incredibly intelligent and enjoy having both my body and mind engaged. I’m looking for a home with someone who has experience with dogs, or someone who is willing to learn. I’m a big, strong girl who needs both physical exercise and mental stimulation to thrive. I love training, problem-solving and being involved in daily life. I’ll be happiest with someone who is committed to keeping both my body and mind active.

I’m not suitable for a home with children. I need an adult home that understands dogs and can provide the structure, consistency and enrichment that helps me be my best self.
