About Beanie
Beanie is a gorgeous little girl with a big personality who has absolutely blossomed in foster care. She is curious about everything, loves to play and explore, and once she's decided somewhere is home, she has no trouble making herself very comfortable!
While Beanie can be a little cautious about being touched by people she doesn't know, give her time and she'll choose you as one of 'her people'. She loves chin scratches, rubbing herself against your legs and following you into the bathroom to supervise. Her favourite cuddles happen at night when she's sleepy. She'll come over on her own terms, settle in and enjoy some affection before bed. Watching her learn that people are safe and that cuddles are actually pretty wonderful has been incredibly special.
Beanie is also a very chatty little girl, particularly when she suspects breakfast or dinner might be happening! She'll chirp away to make sure you haven't forgotten her. Food is definitely one of the great loves of her life.
When she's not eating, Beanie is usually playing. She loves chasing balls around the house like she's playing soccer, carrying toys around in her mouth, having zoomies and, most of all, playing with her sister Hattie. She's also become quite the TV girl! her favourite movie is The Aristocats, which she'll happily sit and watch. Once playtime is over, don't be surprised to find her completely stretched out on her back without a care in the world.
Beanie is litter trained, eats and sleeps well, and is comfortable being home without her humans. She's also happy to be out and about when visitors are around, she just prefers that unfamiliar people admire her without immediately trying to touch her.
Beanie needs someone who understands that the best relationships with cats aren't always instant. She may not climb straight into your lap on day one, but give her the space to come to you and you'll get to watch her trust and affection grow.
Most importantly, Beanie absolutely adores her sister Hattie. They play together, explore together and have become best friends. Our greatest wish would be to see Beanie and Hattie adopted together, particularly because Beanie's confidence helps Hattie learn that the world, and the humans in it, aren't so scary.
If you're happy to give her a little patience at the beginning, Beanie is ready to take over your home next

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
