About Not So Curious George
Meet George – A Gentle Soul Seeking His Forever Home ❤️
George is a 3-year-old fluffy tabby and white male cat with the biggest, gentlest heart you’ll ever meet. He’s not just a cat, he’s a quiet, loving little gentleman who forms deep, meaningful bonds with his people.
Life hasn’t always been easy for George. After spending time with the RSPCA in 2024 and thriving in foster care (where his foster carer fell in love with him and adopted him), his world was turned upside down again when his owner’s health sadly declined. She made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him back to the RSPCA.
Poor George struggled terribly in the shelter environment, so the wonderful RSPCA team reached out to us for urgent help. Thankfully, we were able to whisk him into a peaceful foster home right away.
George is a slow burn and is taking his time to adjust to his new surroundings but this sweet boy is on the lookout for his permanent family. The one that will cherish him through the good days and the adjustment days.
What you need to know about George:
He is a very sweet and gentle soul who doesn’t handle change well. It may take him weeks (or even longer) to feel truly safe and confident in a new home.
But here’s the beautiful part: once George trusts you and settles in, he will reward your patience with the most incredible, unconditional love. You’ll have a devoted, affectionate companion who follows you around, seeks out cuddles, and truly becomes your little shadow.
Because he can be quite shy at first, George would thrive best in a calm, quiet, and predictable household, ideally with adults or older children who understand the importance of giving him time and space.
Once settled, he’s wonderfully cat-social (he’d love a gentle feline friend), enjoys being brushed with a soft bristle brush, and is highly motivated by tasty food and treats!
George is looking for a patient, understanding family who sees beyond his initial shyness and recognizes the loving, loyal boy waiting to blossom. He deserves a stable, loving forever home where he never has to face another big upheaval again.
If you have a quiet, secure space in your heart and home, and you’re willing to let a gentle tabby boy take his time to become the affectionate gentleman he truly is… George would love to meet you.
Could you be the one to give George the forever he’s been dreaming of?
Please get in touch if you think you might be his perfect match. This special boy needs a committed, forever family.
George is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and comes with ongoing support from our team.
Located in Berwick with his amazing foster carer.
Thank you for considering this deserving boy. Every gentle soul like George deserves a soft place to land. 💕
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help

We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
