About Mae
Mae is searching for a patient family who appreciates the special bond that comes from a gentle cat's trust.
Unlike kittens who demand attention from the moment they arrive, Mae prefers to take her time. She'll quietly observe her new surroundings, carefully investigate every corner of her new domain, and decide for herself when she's ready to say hello. Watching her confidence grow is one of the most rewarding parts of welcoming Mae into your home.
Born in a Sydney backyard and brought indoors at only seven weeks of age, Mae has adapted wonderfully to indoor life. While she's naturally cautious around new people and situations, beneath that shy exterior is a sweet little girl who loves gentle pats, scratches, and the comfort of a safe home.
When she's not conducting important inspections of her surroundings, Mae enjoys curling up for a well-earned nap and looking absolutely adorable in her elegant black-and-white tuxedo. With her bright eyes, dainty white paws, she carries herself with all the grace of a feline aristocrat.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
