Some dogs simply belong together, and Meg and Maverick are one of those pairs.
These two delightful Mini Dachshunds have always lived together and are closely bonded. They take comfort in each other's company, enjoy doing life side by side, and for that reason they are seeking a home where they can remain together.
If you're a Dachshund lover, you'll recognise all the wonderful traits that make this breed so popular. Maverick and Meg are affectionate, loyal, entertaining little companions who love their people and want to be involved in whatever is happening around them.
They are friendly with other dogs, good with cats, and have been around children. They enjoy human company and will happily make themselves comfortable wherever their family happens to be.
Like most Dachshunds, they are intelligent, curious and full of personality. They may be small in stature, but they more than make up for it with confidence, charm and devotion.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
