Mimi is a darling little Mini Dachshund puppy with all the charm, sweetness and personality people love in this beautiful companion breed.
Born on 21 April 2026, Mimi weighed 1.7 kg when she had her first puppy vaccination on 3 June. She will need to complete her full course of three puppy vaccinations before she is considered fully protected in public places.
Mimi is at the perfect age to grow into family life. She will need patient puppy training, gentle socialisation, plenty of companionship and a home that understands that Dachshunds are small dogs with big personalities.
Like most Dachshunds, Mimi is likely to be affectionate, clever, curious and devoted to her people. She will suit a home where she is welcomed indoors as part of the family and not left alone for long periods.
Because of her long back, Mimi’s new family will need to take care with stairs, jumping on and off furniture, and rough handling, especially while she is growing.
Mimi is being adopted under ARK’s Deferred Desexing Program. The cost of her desexing is included in her adoption fee, subject to the terms and conditions of the adoption contract.
Mimi is available for interstate adoption, and ARK can assist with transport quotes and arrangements.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
