About Banjo
Hi, I’m Banjo! I’m a sweet, gentle boy with a calm nature and a playful spark that still shines through every day. My favourite things in the world are slow, relaxing strolls where I can take in all the sights and smells, followed by long cozy naps somewhere warm and comfortable. I’m friendly with the people I meet and love being around my family, quietly keeping you company and soaking up affection. I have a mellow personality, but I still enjoy little moments of fun and curiosity that make life exciting.
I’m searching for a loving forever home with a confident owner or family who understands dogs and can help me continue to feel safe, secure, and loved. Because of my nature and needs, I would do best in a home without children under 12 years of age. I’m also not suited to living with small animals, as I may find them a bit too intriguing.
I do have some arthritis, but at this stage the vets have not recommended any pain management treatment. My new family should simply be mindful that I enjoy a gentler pace of life with comfortable places to rest and moderate exercise to keep me happy and moving well.
What I can promise in return is endless loyalty, companionship, and plenty of love. I’m the kind of dog who will happily curl up beside you after a nice walk, keep you company throughout the day, and make even the quietest moments feel special. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted, easy-going companion to share life with, I could be the perfect match for you.

Medical notes
Please note that this dog has been diagnosed with arthritis, a condition that can cause joint pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, and general slowing with age. Bandit has a known history of arthritis, joint pain, lower lumbar/back pain, and intermittent mobility issues. As a result, he may move more slowly, have difficulty jumping or climbing stairs, require regular rest and gentle exercise, and may need ongoing monitoring and care to maintain comfort and quality of life.
Veterinary assessment has indicated that a previous episode of altered gait may have been caused by a muscle spasm and was not considered neurological in origin. Pain relief and supportive treatment may assist in managing these episodes; however, future muscle spasms, flare-ups of arthritis, or episodes of pain may occur again and may require veterinary attention and medication.
Ongoing veterinary care may be required as he ages or if symptoms worsen. Appropriate medication or supplements, weight management, controlled exercise, and a comfortable home environment are important to help maintain the dog’s overall wellbeing and quality of life.

If you are interested in adoption one of our advertised animals, please contact us on 48681520 where we can discuss suitability and arrange a time to meet in person.
Our adoption process for dogs and cats involves filling out an application which can be obtained when you visit the shelter to view the animals. At least 24 hours after the application is received, it will be reviewed by our Team Leader and staff to discuss suitability.
If your application has been successful we will give you a call and arrange a time for collection.
If you are interested in any of our pets, your best option is to call us on 4868 1520 during opening hours (10am to 4pm Mon-Fri, 10am to 12pm Sat-Sun), or leave a message with phone number so we can return your call. Appointments are required for all people looking to visit the shelter.
*Please Note* That all animals have to be collected from the shelter in Moss Vale we unfortunately do not have any transport available.
