🧁 Meet Muffin 🧁

Fresh out of the oven and overflowing with sweetness, Muffin is a little treat that's guaranteed to brighten your day!

Currently in foster care with a loving family, this adorable young pup is as soft and comforting as her name suggests. Muffin's favourite recipe includes a generous helping of cuddles, a sprinkle of playtime and plenty of cosy naps.

She's a very affectionate girl who loves being held and snuggled close. When she's not enjoying a cuddle, you'll often find her having a playful romp with her brother. Unlike some puppies who seem to run on endless energy, Muffin prefers life at a gentler pace. A quick play session is usually followed by a well-earned nap in the nearest comfy corner she can find.

Muffin is wonderful with children and happily accepts all the attention her foster family's 4-year-old son can offer. She has a lovely nature and enjoys being part of the action, before retreating for her next "Muffin break".

Like any growing pup, she's still working on a few ingredients in her puppy training recipe. At the moment she thinks ankles and toes make excellent chew toys and occasionally tries to sample them during playtime. With patience, guidance and consistency, this is a behaviour she's expected to outgrow.

Muffin is becoming comfortable with crate time and travels well in a crate. She also enjoys using cosy enclosed spaces as her personal bakery, where she can rest and recharge between adventures.

She's making good progress with toilet training too. Currently using puppy pads indoors, Muffin is already showing some impressive communication skills. When she wakes up and needs to go, she'll often bark or whine to let you know. With a family who responds to her cues, she is likely to continue progressing beautifully.

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

NOTES:
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies and dogs may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
