Aslan is nothing short of breathtaking. With his striking white coat and mesmerising mismatched eyes—one blue and one golden—he is a true standout. This unique feature, known as heterochromia, is quite common in white cats, and so too is the possibility of deafness. While we can’t say with certainty that Aslan is deaf, it’s safest to assume he may be and support him accordingly.
But don’t let that deter you—Aslan takes life in his stride. He is a calm, affectionate boy who enjoys human companionship and will happily share quiet moments by your side. He has a gentle presence about him, making him a lovely companion for someone seeking a relaxed and loving feline friend.
Aslan does, however, know exactly what he wants in life—and that includes ruling his home as the one and only cat. He has zero tolerance for other felines and will need to be the undisputed King of his Castle.
Due to his sensitive nature and the possibility of being easily startled, Aslan would be best suited to a home without young children. A calm, predictable environment will help him feel safe and secure.
With his pale features, including his pink nose and ears, Aslan is also at risk of sun damage. For this reason, he must be kept strictly as an indoor-only cat to keep him safe and healthy.

Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
