This handsome young Kelpie x Cattle Dog has been described by his foster carer as "a beautiful, friendly dog who loves attention and pats." Ronald genuinely enjoys human company and is happiest when included in family life.
FUN FACT: Ronald's name means "wise ruler" — a fitting name for a smart country boy who loves people and gets along with everyone he meets. 🐾
At around 18 months of age, Ronald is entering the prime of his life. He has the intelligence and enthusiasm typical of both Kelpies and Cattle Dogs, combined with a lovely affectionate nature that makes him a pleasure to have around.
Ronald gets along extremely well with other dogs and would be delighted to have a canine companion in his new home. He enjoys social interaction and has shown himself to be friendly and easy-going with the dogs he has met.
Like many working-breed mixes, Ronald enjoys having space to stretch his legs and explore. Secure fencing is essential, as he can occasionally get "the wanders" if given the opportunity. A home committed to providing appropriate exercise, companionship and supervision will help him thrive.
Ronald is not keen on cats.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
