About Chip
We are looking for a very special person to adopt Chip.
If you live alone, somewhere quiet and peaceful and spend most of your time at home, then you might be exactly who we have been looking for.
Meet Chip 🐾
Chip is a handsome 3½-year-old Red Cattle Dog looking for a very special home where he can finally settle in and thrive.
Sadly, Chip had a difficult start to life, and as a result he needs an experienced, committed owner who understands working breeds and is prepared to give him the structure, patience, and guidance he needs. This is not a first-time dog owner opportunity, but for the right person, Chip has so much love to give.
Chip is seeking a rural home with clear, firm boundaries where he can feel secure and know what is expected of him. He must be the only animal in the household and cannot live with children. While he is most comfortable around women, he can learn to trust and accept a resident male with time, consistency, and proper introductions.
To help him feel safe and successful, Chip needs to be crated whenever visitors come to the property. He is looking for a home that will respect his management needs and continue helping him build confidence.
Once Chip feels comfortable and relaxed, his affectionate side shines through. He loves cuddles and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. Beneath his challenges is a loyal, intelligent dog who wants to connect and be part of a stable, understanding home.
Chip will need:
An experienced dog owner
A rural property with secure boundaries
No children
No other dogs or animals
Consistent management, structure, and leadership
Patience, understanding, and realistic expectations
Crating when visitors are present
Chip isn't looking for a perfect home—he's looking for the right home. Someone willing to see beyond his difficult beginnings and give him the chance to enjoy the safe, stable future he deserves.
For the right person, Chip will be an incredibly rewarding companion and a devoted friend. ❤️🐾
