About Houdini
Meet Hades! Hades will thrive with patient adopters who can provide very gradual exposure to new environments and continue building his confidence around unfamiliar people. He takes a bit of time to get used to his new people, but after some time settling into his new home, he is likely to form strong bonds with his owners. He will benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training to help him feel secure and develop his social skills.
Hades is ideally suited to a home where he can be the only dog and receive plenty of individual attention. However, with a carefully selected and compatible canine companion, he may be able to live successfully with an older, calm role model dog, pending a meet and greet.
Due to his needs, Hades is best suited to a home with dog-savvy teenagers and adults. With understanding, consistency, and time, he has the potential to become a loyal and rewarding companion.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
