About Dee
Dee is a desexed female Domestic Shorthair cat available for adoption in Coburg North (Inner North, VIC).
Dee is a cat who treats every room as a climbing course. She's the household's rooftop supervisor, always choosing to watch the world from the highest point available.
She shares an easy, constant bond with her sister, Mac: matching cat bed, synchronised meal times and a habit of checking in on each other before checking in on anything else.
Dee suits a calm household that enjoys good company without needing to provide constant entertainment.
A little about Dee:
🐾 Treats every room as a climbing course, watching the world from the highest point available
🐾 Does her own lap of the house each day, checking her favourite heights are still free
🐾 Especially enjoys the company of dogs, having grown up alongside a large lab x staffy
🐾 Shows affection by staying close by, quietly setting up on your desk for the afternoon
🐾 Shares a close bond with her sister, Mac, same bed, every night
Dee does her own lap of the house first thing, checking her favourite heights are still available before settling in above it all, usually a bookshelf or the top of the fridge. By afternoon she's found her spot for the day and settled in for the view.
She shows love differently to most cats, and just as genuinely, preferring to be near you rather than on you, close enough to matter without ever needing to be held.
Dee has a habit of quietly setting up on your desk for the afternoon, which feels like the compliment it is. She'd rather be close by without any fuss than centre of attention.
She especially enjoys the company of dogs, having grown up alongside a large lab x staffy, and settles into shared space without any fuss at all.
Dee will flourish in a calm household that enjoys good company without needing to provide constant entertainment. She's happiest as the only cat in the house alongside Mac, keeping their two-cat world exactly as they've always known it.
Dee and Mac are a package, they're only looking for a home that can take them both.
Give Dee time to settle into a new space, and her personality comes through easily, usually from a new favourite height somewhere in the house.
Picture a quiet Sunday: Dee perched somewhere you didn't expect, needing nothing from you except the view.
Dee is quiet company and a love of a good view, all wrapped up in one entertaining cat. Alongside Mac, she's ready to make your home feel instantly more lived-in.
FAQ
Do Mac and Dee need to be adopted together?
Yes, and it's worth it. They're genuinely bonded sisters who choose each other's company over anywhere else, so adopting them as a pair means they land in their new home already feeling secure.
How is Dee with dogs?
She especially enjoys their company, having grown up alongside a large lab x staffy and being completely relaxed around them.
Will Dee get along with other cats?
She does best without other cats in the house, it keeps her world simple and lets her bond with Mac stay front and centre.
What's Dee like with new people?
Give her space and time, and you'll find she comes to you in her own way, usually settling in nearby first.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
