About Rusty - 2 Year Old Staffy
Rusty is a handsome 2-year-old Staffordshire Terrier looking for a loving new home.
He has been a much-loved family dog and is now looking for someone who can continue helping him grow, learn, and enjoy all the adventures life has to offer.
Rusty is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and great with children. He is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being around his people and enjoys lounging in the sun, playing in the yard, and spending time with his family.
Due to his owner’s health, Rusty hasn’t had a lot of opportunities for socialisation outside of the home and yard. As a result, he may need some guidance and ongoing exposure to new environments, people, and experiences. He is still young, eager to learn, and a very smart boy who should adapt well with patience, consistency, and positive training.
Rusty is mostly an outdoor dog and may need some work with house training and indoor manners, but he is young and has plenty of potential. He is keen to please and would benefit from an owner who can continue teaching him and helping him build confidence.
Rusty would likely do well with a friendly female dog companion to help him continue learning and building confidence. However, he would also be perfectly happy as an only dog, provided he receives plenty of mental stimulation, enrichment, exercise, and quality time with his people. Okay with part time workers as long as he is getting the enrichment he needs. He is calm and will happily lay in the sun and yard while you're at work
Rusty has so much love to give and is looking for someone willing to invest a little time into helping him become the best version of himself. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, loving companion for life.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
