About Audrey
Hello there! I’m Audrey, and I’m officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR AUDREY
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM

My Ideal Home:
• I’ll need daily exercise — walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors — not left outside without interaction.
• I’m still a puppy, which means I will chew, nip, have accidents, bark, and sometimes be a little destructive. With patience, consistency, and training, I’ll learn — but I need a family fully committed to putting in the time and effort to help me succeed.
• As a social and playful pup, I may really enjoy attending doggy daycare.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I’d love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• Training, training, training — it’s essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion as I mature.
• Because I may have had a sheltered start and can be shy in new situations, continued socialisation will really help build my confidence. I’m already becoming braver at the shelter!
• I absolutely love other dogs! I’m energetic and playful, so I’d thrive with a dog who matches my enthusiasm — or, if I’m your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs.
• I have a high prey drive, so I’m not suited to homes with cats or small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, or ducks.
My Paw-some Perks:
• I’m a very playful, happy pup with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I’m excited.
• I’m highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I’m generally a well-mannered dog. I know how to sit and I’m always eager to learn more.
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I’m quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I’m clever, enthusiastic, and would thrive with a family who’ll continue my training and maybe even teach me some cool new tricks.
Training & Support Needs:
• I haven’t had any formal training yet, so I’ll need help with all my basic manners and life skills. The good news is I love food and toys, which will make positive training lots of fun and rewarding for me.
• I’ve only recently started learning to walk on lead at the shelter. I’m improving every day, but I can still be a little slow, erratic or fearful at times. With patience and regular walks, I’ll soon gain confidence and enjoy my daily strolls.
• I may show some resource guarding around food or treats as I think it's being taken from me but and with patience, consistency, and positive training, this is something we can continue to work through together. So if going to a home with another dog or kids I will need to be fed separately to them until I learn my food isn't going to be taken from me.
Please Note: You’ll only be able to meet Audrey if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
