About Mary (68717)
Mary is an absolutely lovely young Staffy with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. At just under a year old, she is still very much a puppy at heart and is looking for a home that will continue to guide her as she grows into a well-mannered adult.
Mary is social with other dogs and has participated well in group interactions. She can come in a little over-excited at times, but responds well to guidance and is learning to adjust her play style. She may suit a home with a well-matched, tolerant male dog who can help continue to build her social skills.
As an adolescent, Mary is still learning her manners. She can be quite boisterous on lead and may show some reactivity out of excitement when she sees other dogs, so ongoing training and consistency will be important. She is an active girl who will benefit from daily exercise, enrichment, and clear boundaries to help her thrive.
Mary is not suited to a home with cats or small animals, as the thrill of the chase can get the better of her.
Prior to entering care, Mary sustained a severe injury to her tail which required amputation. She has recovered well and this does not slow her down, but it is something her new family should be aware of.
She may suit a home with older children who can respect her space and understand her playful nature.
If you're looking for a sweet, people-loving companion who will reward you with endless affection and fun, Mary could be the perfect addition to your family.
