Profile and needs in a home
MEET COOKIE Sweet Cookie is a 8-week-old Fox Terrier mix with a heart as soft as his puppy fur.
🍑 We've included a photo of mum, Peaches—a tiny, sweet-natured terrier mix who is truly sugar, spice, and all things nice. Based on her size, we expect Cookie to grow into a petite little companion of around 4–5kg approximately when fully grown. 🐾💕
Cookie must be rehomed with another well-adjusted, friendly, young, small dog.
This gentle little boy is a sensitive soul who loves nothing more than being cuddled up in your arms, soaking up all the love and affection he can get.
Like any happy puppy, Cookie enjoys playing with his siblings, exploring his toys, and learning about the big wide world around him.
Cookie has thrived in foster care alongside her mum, siblings, the family's dog Moana, and their children, growing into a well-rounded little pup albeit with a sensitive soul. As the photo shows, Moana has taken her role as devoted step-mum very seriously! 🐾💕
Cookie is good with children and may suit a home with children aged 7+, provided they are kind, gentle, and respectful of animals.
As a Terrier mix, Cookie is likely to grow into an active and intelligent young dog who will with the right guidance thrive with plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. When he is old enough, he will love daily walks, exploring new places, trips to parks and beaches, and joining his family on adventures.
His ideal family will be active, enjoy getting out and about, and be committed to providing the interaction and stimulation he will need to flourish.
We will only rehome Cookie to a family who is capable, committed, and sensitive to his needs, and who will continue his training and socialisation using force-free, reward-based methods.
His new family must also be willing to attend puppy school and work with a force-free trainer during his early months to help him develop into a confident, well-rounded canine citizen.
We are happy to recommend suitable trainers.
Like all of our puppies, Cookie must have access indoors as part of the family, be welcome to cuddle on the couch, and sleep safely inside at night.
As Cookie is still very young and will require ongoing supervision, guidance, and training, we are looking for a home where his family is not routinely away for long periods of time.
With his sweet, sensitive nature, loving personality, and playful puppy spirit, Cookie is sure to make a wonderful companion for one very lucky family.
Could Cookie be the missing piece in your family?
If you think you have the pawfect home, please tell us a little about the home you could offer, including:
• What your home life looks like — family members in your home, lifestyle and a typical day in your home
• your current dog/s, their ages and what their personalities are like
• Your plans for puppy training, continued socialisation and the exercise/outings you would provide Cookie
• How much time Cookie would spend alone during a typical day
• What access he would have in the home and where he would sleep at night
• Your plans for vet care and what arrangements you have in place for your pets when you travel or are away
The more we know about you and the home you can offer, the better we can ensure the perfect match
