🐱 Meet Tom – The Big Softy Who Wants to Be Your Best Friend 💛🐾

Tom has truly blossomed in care and has settled in beautifully. This big handsome boy is an absolute softy with so much love and personality to give.

Tom loves being close to his people — in fact, wherever you are, Tom wants to be there too! He’s often found sitting at your feet or right between them, and if you get up, he’s up with you. He’ll even wait patiently outside a room for you to return. He’s the ultimate little shadow!

Tom is also quite the conversationalist, communicating with gentle little squeaks and plenty of purrs. He loves giving adorable head bumps when you’re feeding him or when he wants some attention, and he absolutely loves being patted and brushed.

This affectionate boy has a very gentle and placid nature. He understands the command “no” and responds to his name, and he enjoys learning and interacting with his humans.

Although Tom is generally calm and relaxed, he definitely has his playful moments! He enjoys chasing a ball, batting it around with you, and having the occasional zoomie around the house. He’s very gentle, although a belly rub can sometimes activate his playful side and bring out a little extra energy! 😂

Tom absolutely loves curling up on the bed with his people and would be happiest with someone who enjoys having a cat that genuinely wants to be involved in their everyday life.

One of Tom’s favourite things in the world is being brushed — it’s definitely one of the quickest ways to make him happy. He is also especially motivated by tasty wet food and snacks, which have helped him build confidence and trust.

Tom can still be a little unsure around things like work boots and hi-vis clothing, but he settles quickly once things are calm and familiar. He may also be more active in the evening and overnight, although he now spends plenty of time enjoying the company of his humans.

Tom is a big boy with a big personality, so he would suit someone who appreciates larger cats and wants a true feline companion. He would be best suited to a calm, understanding home with adults only who can read his cues and continue supporting his confidence.

Tom would also do best as the only cat or furry companion in the home, where he can enjoy all the attention and companionship he loves.
