About Chico STA014950
Chico is a truly stunning young lady with a gentle soul and a heart that’s learning just how good life can be.
After not having the best start, Chico has spent time in foster care discovering that people can be kind, safe, and full of love. With the help of a very friendly resident feline, it didn’t take her long to start coming out of her shell—and she hasn’t looked back since.
Chico will need a little patience as she settles into her forever home. New environments and unfamiliar faces can make her a bit skittish at first, but give her time and space, and you’ll see her blossom into the affectionate girl she truly is.
Once she feels comfortable, Chico is all about love. She enjoys smooches, seeks out affection, and will happily curl up close to her person. She even gives the sweetest gentle love bites as her way of showing just how much she cares. At night, don’t be surprised if she chooses your bed as her favourite sleeping spot—she loves being near her human.
Chico prefers affection on her own terms and isn’t a fan of being picked up, but she’ll come to you when she’s ready for cuddles—and those moments are well worth the wait.
She gets along beautifully with other cats and must be in a home with a friendly feline companion to help continue building her confidence. She has also shown she is unbothered by dogs, making her a great candidate for a calm, respectful multi-pet household.
Chico is looking for a patient, understanding home where she can continue her journey of trust and love. In return, she’ll reward you with affection, companionship, and the quiet joy of watching her truly come into her own.
If you’re ready to give a deserving girl the loving home she’s been waiting for, Chico might just be your perfect match.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
