Meet Jewel, quite possibly the most precious thing to arrive in Cairns this year. She came to us on a journey that took the kindness of so many hearts across Australia, and we are so grateful to everyone who played a part in getting her here safely. A very special thank you to Central Queensland Animal Society Inc - CQASI for making the final leg of her journey possible. It truly takes a village, and Jewel’s village showed up beautifully for her.
Now that she’s here, it’s easy to see why so many people wanted to help her. Jewel is soft in every sense of the word. She is gentle, loving, and effortlessly clean. There’s no drama with this girl, no fuss, just a quiet, easygoing soul who is happy to share her space and her heart. She gets along wonderfully with other cats and carries herself with the kind of calm that makes an entire household feel a little more peaceful.
If you are looking for a cat who will curl up beside you, never ask for too much, and give you everything she has in return, Jewel is your girl. She is the kind of cat you feel lucky to know.

Interstate adoptions require an online application followed by a phone interview and transport is at the adopters expense. Ask the team for a quote.
