Meet Zaylie, a very sweet little Bull Arab mix puppy with a gentle nature and a heart full of love.
Born on 30 March 2026, Zaylie is still only a baby, but she is already showing the lovely qualities we so often see in Bull Arab types. They are usually loyal, affectionate, steady-natured dogs who love their people deeply. Despite their size as adults, they are often not as high-energy as people expect. With the right home, they can be calm, gentle, loving companions.
Zaylie absolutely loves children and seems to think she is a lap puppy. She enjoys being close to her people and will thrive in a home where she is treated as a much-loved member of the family.
As with all puppies, Zaylie will need ongoing training, socialisation, guidance and routine as she grows. She is looking for people who understand that puppies do not arrive fully trained, but with kindness, consistency and patience, they grow into wonderful adult dogs.
Zaylie came into ARK’s care after being abandoned, so we do not have any information about her parents. We think she is a Bull Arab mix, but this is our (and our vet's) best guess only.
She weighed 4.05 kg at 6 weeks of age, so she is expected to grow into a medium to large dog, likely somewhere around 25–35 kg. This is only an estimate, as her parentage is unknown.

Zaylie is offered for adoption under Southern Downs ARK’s Deferred Desexing Program. Her adoption fee includes the cost of her desexing when age appropriate, subject to the terms and conditions of the program.
Her adopter will be required to enter into a Deferred Desexing Adoption Contract and ensure that Zaylie is desexed in accordance with that agreement. Zaylie must not be used for breeding.
Zaylie is available for interstate adoption. ARK is happy to assist with obtaining quotes and arranging pet transport where necessary. We prefer road transport for our puppies wherever possible.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
