About Chance, the greyhound
If you are interested in Chance, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/4YdfUixpmWdJ4StT9
Chance is a gentle, affectionate greyhound who is settling beautifully into pet life. Every afternoon he greets his foster carer at the door with a wagging tail and is always happy to welcome visitors too. He loves being close to his people, leaning in for pats and affection, and will often lift a front paw and give you those big greyhound eyes when he'd like some extra attention.
While he's a laid-back boy, Chance does enjoy a short run around the yard and will happily break into a few zoomies when the mood strikes. He walks nicely on lead, knows his name, and is learning simple cues such as recall and "on your bed."
Chance thrives on routine and is already showing what a wonderful housemate he can be. He is fully toilet trained in foster care, happily holds overnight, and can be left alone for 6-8 hours during the day. He enjoys spending most of his time indoors but appreciates having access to a secure yard when he wants to stretch his legs.
Although a little shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and has a calm, gentle nature that makes him very easy to live with. He doesn't jump up, steal household items, or counter surf, and he takes treats gently from your hand. Even foster grandma, who isn't particularly confident around dogs, has fallen in love with his affectionate personality.
Chance hasn't shown much interest in toys so far, but he does enjoy enrichment activities such as Kongs and treat balls.
Easy-going, affectionate and low maintenance, Chance would suit a variety of homes, including first-time greyhound owners and full-time workers looking for a loyal companion. As he continues to settle, this lovely boy is only getting better and better. ❤️🐾
