About Angel
Hi, it’s me Angel.
I’m a gentle, timid girl when you first meet me - but that’s just the Maremma in me. Once I learn to trust you, I’ll love you with my whole heart and become your most loyal companion.
Like any true Maremma, my favourite part of the day is doing my boundary checks. I take my job very seriously and make sure every corner is inspected and protected so everyone knows this is my family and my home.
I get along beautifully with other dogs and have never had any issues with feline friends either. I do have some natural herding instincts, though I haven’t been around livestock before. My previous owner said I was a very good girl living in suburbia, but I would truly thrive in a farm or acreage home where I have room to stretch my legs, burn off my energy, and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle I love so much.
I can be a little shy and stubborn at first until I’ve properly bonded with my humans or another dog in the home. Once I feel safe and settled, my beautiful personality really starts to shine through. Because of this, if I were to become a full-time livestock guardian, I would likely benefit from having an older Maremma or experienced working dog around to learn from and help guide me while I build my confidence.
Even though I love being outside, I also adore family time indoors with my people. After a big day of patrolling and playing, I’m more than happy to come inside, relax nearby, and enjoy all the love and company I can get. I’m also toilet trained and crate trained, which makes settling into my forever home that little bit easier.
I’m looking for a patient family who understands guardian breeds and will give me the time I need to settle in and blossom into the loving girl I’m meant to be.-
