Hi, I’m Miss Willow

I’m a sweet, gentle girl looking for a safe, loving home to call my own.

My story started when I was found tied up along a rural road, and it’s believed I may have come from a rural property. While no one knows my full history, it’s suspected that I come from working dog bloodlines and may have found myself out of a job following a rather unfortunate "performance review." What I do know is that those instincts are very much a part of who I am.

I’m kind by nature and happiest when I’m close to my humans. I love being near you and will often quietly follow you around just so I don’t miss a moment with my favourite people.

Like many working dogs, I have strong herding instincts and naturally like to "round up" the kids and other dogs in my foster home. I get along wonderfully with the children here, but they are used to dogs with these behaviours. Families with younger children who aren't familiar with herding breeds may find some of my instincts a little scary.

I absolutely adore other dogs and thrive in their company. In fact, I would really love a home with at least one other friendly and energetic dog to play, run, and relax with. I have plenty of energy and would love a large yard, acreage, or rural property where I can stretch my legs and enjoy the outdoors. I enjoy being active and would suit a home that can provide both physical exercise and mental enrichment.

As you might expect from my background, I do have a prey drive and am very interested in smaller animals (likely the reason I was dumped). The resident caged piggies are endlessly fascinating to me, so I wouldn't be suited to a home with birds, chickens, poultry, or other small livestock and animals.

Because of my history, I haven't really had much experience walking on a lead, so I will need a patient owner who can help me learn this skill and continue my training in a positive way if they would like to go on controlled walkies.

What I want most is a person of my own, someone patient, understanding, and familiar with working dog breeds and their unique characteristics. Someone who will embrace me for who I am and help me become the very best version of myself. In return, I’ll be your loyal shadow, adventure buddy, and devoted best friend.

I have so much love to give. I’m just waiting for the right home where I can finally feel secure, wanted, and truly loved.-

All animals are health checked, vaccinated, worm/flea treated, microchipped, desexed and registered with Gladstone Council.
They are socialised in the homes of loving foster carers, not in cages or kennels. (See our website to join the team)
