About Bonny
Temporarily withdrawn
Bonny is a sweet little girl who will follow you wherever you go, a perfect companion for an older person or a couple. She can be quite timid and loud noises or any rough play would not be her ideal situation, but she does love attention. Bonny loves being brushed, snuggled and is very, very quiet! she is a well-trained and can obey the following commands: go to bed, sit, stay and lay-down! bonny has the sweetest little legs and is fine with small steps. She enjoys going for little walks and her foster carer thinks she is a delight to have in the home. She has even coped with three very active small boys very well, even when they try to annoy her no end!
Update 6 december: bonny's foster carer noticed that she could not always see things in her path and started to walk into things once night time came. Bonny has now been to see a very nice ophthalmologist and has been diagnosed with premature cataracts. Her only hope is to have the cataracts removed, after which she will be able to lead a normal life. Bonny is such a nice little dog and really does deserve the chance to go on and be adopted by a lovely family. However the chances of this happening are not good without the surgery as bonny will eventually go completely blind. This specialist surgery is extremely expensive and we are hoping that some kind people will help us meet the cost so that bonny can see again. If you would like to help bonny please email denise@paws. Com. Au for more information. We will acknowledge all bonny's angels on the paws website!
Updated 7 march: surgery day today. . . Everyone please pray for little bonny!
Updated 8 march: bonny's surgery was a success and her specialist vet says she can now see properly again. Thanks again to the people below who made it possible!
Updated 12 march: bonny has finally had her cataract surgery and can see again! bonny would like to give thanks to mark her ophthalmologist who has taken a special interest in bonny and has now given her the chance to lead a normal life. Bonny will be ready for rehoming possibly in early april. She has specific needs in regards to her new home as we want her to be happy and well cared for. Bonny would not be suitable with children as she is a very quiet little dog and children make her quite nervous. She gets along well with other dogs but a home without another dog would also be ok for her. Bonny's new home should be a quiet one with people around most of the time who will dote on her. She is a house dog and must have access to the house at all times. Bonny sleeps on the bed with her foster carer and that is a prerequisite for her new home. Bonny is a lap dog whose favourite spot is right there on your lap so a retired couple or single person with a passion for little dogs like bonny would be the best possible home. Bonny has a high maintenance coat that will require regular grooming. Bonny comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested and with local council lifetime registration for $295. If you would like more information on bonny or to arrange to meet her, please phone denise on 0405 244871 or email her using adoption enquiry as your subject heading. Before phoning or emailing, please check denise's rescued dogs in foster care on www. Paws. Com. Au for any updated photos and stories and to make sure this dog is still available for adoption.
