Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Melody
When Melody came into foster care she took a while to come out of her shell. She had moved out of the only home she had ever known so it was a big adjustment! But she's absolutely thriving now, and coming for cuddles with her foster carer.
She loves pats and scritches, and will reach up to grab your hand to get more. She nibbles on the end of your fingers if she thinks you stopped too soon.
She loves her food and is not at all picky. She will gobble up anything that's on offer.
She loves to play with dangly toys if her foster carer is playing with her. You can see her kitten side come out.
She loves peace and quiet, and would be fine to be at home all day on her own if her human was working. A household with noise and kids probably wouldn't be her thing.
She'd be great in a home with one or two adults that she can have a snuggle with of an evening.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
