Greetings and salutations! I’m Murphy - 30kg of love, laughter and just a little bit of chaos.
If you’re looking to keep life interesting, you’ve come to the right place. I might look like a big boy, but I’m really just a baby, and probably the silliest one you’ll ever meet.
I love to play, walk, splash in water, and explore everything around me. I can never have enough toys and love bringing every single one out to show you. I also love cuddles and will absolutely melt into you for pats - honestly, I’d fuse myself to you if I could.
I adore other animals, especially dogs and even cats. My foster siblings say I can come on a little strong at first, but it’s only because I love them so much and really REALLY want to play. They’re doing a very good job of teaching me polite manners though, and I think I’d really love a furry friend in my forever home if you already have another dog.
Because I’m still a big baby, I do have a few things to learn. I’m already mastering walking politely on a harness, and I’m very good at not barking at strangers or getting bamboozled when other dogs bark at me on walks. I'm getting used to my crate and to only going to the bathroom outside. I also sit and wait very nicely, and I’m learning that counters are not actually sneaky snack buffets.
I’ve still got a few tough lessons ahead of me, like shoes aren’t for stealing (which I personally think is very unfair), and that not every bed belongs to Murphy… apparently. But I love food very much, so I’m always happy to trade treats for good behaviour.
My foster mum says I’m the silliest, goofiest boy she’s ever met, and that someone who loves big dogs (and knows how to teach them manners - rude) will absolutely adore me. Personally, I don’t think that makes sense though because I'm just a tiny, little baby!
If you think your life needs a little more spice, I’d love to meet you. Even if you don’t, I’d still love to meet you. Honestly, I just want to cuddle everybody.
My adoption fee includes all my vet work, including my desexing, which will happen once I’m a little more grown up. No idea what that means, but I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about!

Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
