About Phoenix
🐾🩷 Meet Phoenix 🩷🐾
1 year and 2 months of gentle cuddles, tiny zoomies, quiet confidence and the sweetest little soul just waiting to blossom. 🌸
Some dogs burst into a room demanding attention.
Phoenix isn't one of those dogs.
She's the kind of little girl who quietly watches from a safe distance...
Takes a deep breath...
Watches a little longer...
And then, when she decides you're one of her people...
She gives you her whole heart.
At just 1 year and 2 months old, this beautiful Chihuahua x came into care after her breeder made the decision to downsize. Now she's looking for a patient, loving family who'll give her the time she needs to discover just how wonderful life can be.
🌸 A Little Flower Waiting to Bloom
Phoenix can be a little shy when she first meets new people or finds herself somewhere unfamiliar.
The big wide world can feel overwhelming, and she'd much rather stay within the comfort of her little bubble where she knows she's safe.
But here's the beautiful thing about Phoenix...
Every single day her confidence grows.
As she settles into her surroundings, the timid little girl slowly disappears and her gentle, affectionate personality begins to shine.
Watching Phoenix blossom is incredibly rewarding.
She's proof that sometimes the sweetest friendships simply take a little patience.
❤️ Home Is Her Happy Place
Phoenix isn't looking for a family who'll take her to busy markets every weekend.
She isn't dreaming about crowded cafés or noisy adventures.
She's dreaming about something much simpler.
A cosy couch.
A sunny dog bed.
A warm human to snuggle beside.
A quiet backyard to potter around in.
And a family who understands that for Phoenix...
Home is her favourite place in the whole world.
🐶 Tiny Friends... Giant Cuddles
Phoenix has quite possibly the funniest taste in friends.
She absolutely loves another small dog who'll happily wrestle, chase and play with her.
But when playtime is over?
She'd much rather curl up beside a great big dog for a cuddle.
Her current favourite snuggle buddy is a French Mastiff...
Which is fairly hilarious when you realise Phoenix weighs just 4.1kg.
She certainly isn't worried about size.
Because of how much confidence she gains from another playful little dog, we'd really love to see Phoenix join a home with a friendly small canine companion who can continue helping her build confidence and enjoy life.
☀️ The Simple Things
Phoenix finds happiness in life's little moments.
Stretching out in the sunshine.
Curling up on the couch.
Following her humans from room to room.
Playing chase with her doggy friends.
And ending the day exactly where she believes she belongs...
Curled up on the bed beside the people she loves.
🚶♀️ Taking Life at Her Own Pace
At the moment, walks aren't really Phoenix's favourite thing.
The outside world can feel a little overwhelming, and she's much happier within the familiar surroundings of home.
Her new family shouldn't expect an adventurous hiking companion.
Instead, they'll discover the joy of helping a timid little dog slowly gain confidence at her own pace, celebrating every tiny success along the way.
With patience, gentle encouragement and lots of reassurance, we have no doubt Phoenix will continue growing in confidence.
🏡 Around the Home
Phoenix is a lovely little housemate.
She is toilet trained and happily takes herself outside when the door is open. While she hasn't yet mastered using a doggy door, she's a clever little girl and we're sure she'll learn quickly with a little patience, encouragement and perhaps a few tasty treats along the way.
She's generally a quiet little lady who'll only let you know if something unusual catches her attention.
She isn't particularly interested in toys unless another dog starts playing with one first... then suddenly that toy becomes the most exciting thing in the world!
Typical little sister behaviour! 😂
👨👩👧👦 Little Humans & Other Friends
Phoenix has been lovely around children, although because she's naturally a little shy, she'd be best suited to a home with calm, gentle children who understand that sometimes little dogs need a moment to build confidence.
Fast movements and lots of noise can overwhelm her, but with kind and patient children she'll happily settle and become part of the family.
Cats haven't been formally tested, however Phoenix has shown no interest in the birds in her foster carer's aviary, which is a lovely indication of her gentle nature. Any introductions to cats should still be undertaken carefully, as they would with any new dog.
She absolutely adores other dogs. She loves another small dog to chase, wrestle and play with during the day, yet somehow her favourite cuddle buddies are the biggest dogs in the house! Her current best friend is a French Mastiff, proving that when it comes to friendships, Phoenix doesn't care about size—only kindness.
💖 Phoenix's Perfect Home
Phoenix is looking for a family who understands that confidence can't be rushed.
She doesn't need grand adventures or a busy social calendar.
She simply needs people who'll celebrate the little victories.
The first tail wag.
The first cuddle she asks for.
The first time she confidently walks up to greet you.
Those tiny moments quickly become the biggest rewards.
She'd love a calm home with another friendly little dog to play with, patient humans who'll let her settle at her own pace, and plenty of cosy places to curl up after a busy day of being adorable.
In return, you'll gain something truly special.
Not just a dog...
But a loyal little companion who'll quietly weave her way into your heart and stay there forever.
🩷 If you're looking for a sweet, gentle little shadow who'll reward your patience with unconditional love, Phoenix is waiting to spread her wings and find the family she's always deserved.
🐾 Tiny in size.
🌸 Gentle in nature.
☀️ Sunshine enthusiast.
🐶 Professional little sister.
❤️ A beautiful soul just waiting to bloom.
