Zuko is a young Ridgeback x with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Athletic, playful, and confident, he thrives on connection with his people and is fiercely loyal to those he loves.

Zuko is affectionate, devoted, and always ready for an adventure or a cuddle once the day winds down.

He gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children, making him a wonderful companion for any family. Protective by nature and highly intelligent, Zuko is still maturing both physically and mentally, and he’s eager to continue learning with the right guidance.

Like many young dogs, Zuko is still working on a few things. He’s learning about personal space and building confidence with being left alone without needing constant attention.

He is currently improving his crate training and learning to walk politely on a head halti. On the positive side, he already has good recall and responds well to ongoing training and consistency.

Zuko was previously taught to “speak,” which he absolutely embraced with enthusiasm. Because of this, he tends to be quite vocal and will often “answer back” when given commands. At the moment, this has developed into some whining and vocalisation, particularly when he wants attention or is excited. His current carers are actively working on this behaviour and continuing to reinforce calm, quiet responses.

Zuko’s ideal home would be with a confident, patient, and consistent handler who can continue his training and provide thorough socialisation as he grows into adulthood. With structure, guidance, and love, Zuko has all the makings of an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. Oh, and definitely another dog to help him get all his zoomies out.

Zuko is $400 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and given flea, tick and worm preventatives.
