Zuko is a 1‑year‑old Ridgeback x with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Athletic, playful, and confident, he thrives on connection with his people and is fiercely loyal to those he loves. He’s affectionate, devoted, and always ready for an adventure, followed by a cuddle once the day winds down.

Zuko gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and children, making him a wonderful companion for a wide range of families. Protective by nature and highly intelligent, he’s still maturing both physically and mentally, and he’s eager to keep learning with the right guidance. He’s very food‑motivated, which makes training fun and effective.

Zuko walks well on a halti and enjoys his daily outings. As an energetic boy, he also needs regular opportunities to run, and he absolutely loves going to the dog park to play with dogs of all sizes. Once he’s had a chance to burn off his energy, he’s happy to curl up and relax for the rest of the day. He’s crate‑trained and will willingly settle in for a rest when asked.

Zuko was previously taught to “speak,” and he embraced that skill with great enthusiasm which means he can be quite vocal and will often “answer back” when given commands. It’s part of his charm, and part of what makes him such a character.

Zuko’s ideal home is one with a confident, patient, and consistent handler who can continue guiding him as he grows into adulthood. With structure, love, and clear boundaries, Zuko has all the makings of an incredibly loyal, rewarding companion. And yes, he would absolutely love another dog in the home to help him get all his zoomies out!

Zuko is $370 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and given flea, tick and worm preventatives.
