Rex

Rex is an 8-year-old cattle dog mix with the gentlest soul you could imagine. He is the kind of dog people dream of finding — calm, deeply affectionate, emotionally safe, and endlessly loving.

He loves slow mornings in the sun, curling up beside you on the couch, resting his head on your lap, and simply being near his person. Rex is not a high-strung or demanding dog. He is peaceful, patient, and incredibly well-mannered. He brings a quiet kind of comfort into a home — the kind that makes a house feel softer and calmer just because he’s there.

Rex is amazing with children, other dogs, cats, and people. He has never shown aggression and has always had an exceptionally gentle nature. You can feel completely safe around him — he is trusting, kind-hearted, and emotionally soft. Even as a puppy, he was always the sweet soul of the room.

He rarely barks, even when someone comes to the door. If he needs something, he will quietly come sit or stand near you and patiently wait. He is respectful, intelligent, and incredibly emotionally aware. He knows his commands and tricks, waits for permission before entering the house, and never jumps on furniture unless invited. He truly has the temperament of an old soul.

Rex would thrive with someone who has the time to love him properly — someone who wants a loyal companion to take on walks, adventures, beach trips, or simply spend quiet evenings together. He deserves a home where he is not left alone too often and where his gentle heart is appreciated for the rare gift that it is.

⚠️ ASSISTED REHOMING ⚠️

This is an assisted rehoming which means that Animals In Need Brisbane (AINB) will advertise, contact applicants and pass on applications that meet the the criteria to the owner who will make the final decision on the rehoming of the animal. AINB may also be requested to undertake an inspection of the successful applicants property to confirm safety and suitability.

There is no adoption fee for assisted rehomings but we do ask for a donation (amount of their choosing) from the successful applicant  to AINB,  in recognition of the administrative and time costs incurred..
