About Laurie
Meet Laurie, our one-eyed pirate queen.
Laurie is not your typical domestic cat — and that’s okay.
She likes living alongside people, but she is not currently comfortable with human handling. She doesn’t hide away and will happily sit out in the open, observing the world around her. She is not bothered by the vacuum, household noise or even contractors coming and going, but people still make her wary.
Laurie will avoid being touched and can get jumpy if approached too closely, especially when she is using the litter box. She needs an adopter who understands that trust cannot be rushed and who is willing to accept her exactly as she is.
She may suit a calm, experienced and patient home where she can simply exist safely, with no pressure and no expectations. Over time, she may progress — but Laurie needs someone who will love her whether she becomes more social or not.
👧 Kids: No thanks
🐶 Dogs: Possibly, if they leave her alone
🐱 Cats: Has been fine with young kittens and adult cats. She could also live as a solo cat, as she tolerates other cats but is not desperate for feline friends.
While Laurie may never be a lap cat, she has shown an extraordinary capacity for love through the way she cared for the kittens she raised. Now that her babies have had their chance, it’s Laurie’s turn to find a safe, understanding home where she can finally relax and live life on her own terms.
After raising her own kittens, it’s now Laurie’s turn to find her own family. 🖤

Medical notes
Laurie had eye enucleation surgery - a surgical procedure to completely remove a painful, ulcerated, blind, or diseased eyeball. She functions perfectly well with one eye.
She also has only 4 teeth left.

All adoptions incld 1 Free Vet Appointment at Mont Albert Vet or Canterbury Vet (Valued at $155) and or 50% off Dental Procedure *only if needed*
(Voucher Required -Please Ask for This once you have successfully adopted a pet from us)
We have a mandatory house inspection
Shortlisted adopters will be contacted to arrange a meet & greet with the animal. **Depending on our foster's availability
We do follow-ups throughout the life of the animal
In the event that you are unable to care for the animal anymore, you must contact us to seek verbal advice
Some animals will require mandatory enrollment to professional training/behaviorist - this will be noted on the animal's profile & adoption agreement, we will require proof of enrollment before we are able to complete the adoption process/transfer of ownership
