About Pebbles
At just 1 year and 10 months old, Pebbles is everything people adore about British Bulldogs.
Squishy face.
Chunky little body.
Endless character.
And a personality that's guaranteed to make you smile.
But Pebbles's story is also one of quiet courage.
She came into care from a breeder who was downsizing, through absolutely no fault of her own. Although she had never had puppies, she hadn't experienced much of the world outside of what she knew, so arriving in foster care was a big adjustment.
When Pebbles first arrived, she was understandably shy and unsure.
New people.
New surroundings.
New experiences.
It all felt a little overwhelming.
But with patience, kindness and gentle encouragement, we've watched something truly beautiful happen...
Pebbles has blossomed.
The timid little Bulldog who once stood back to observe has grown into a happy, affectionate girl who is discovering just how wonderful family life can be.
She still likes to take a moment when meeting new people. Standing over her can make her feel a little unsure, but if you simply crouch down to her level, let her come to you in her own time and offer a calm introduction, you'll quickly see her curiosity take over.
Before long she'll be nudging in for pats and becoming your newest best friend.
Once Pebbles trusts you...
She trusts you with her whole heart.
Despite her stocky build, Pebbles is surprisingly active and absolutely loves getting out and about.
Walks?
Yes please.
A swim?
Even better.
Chasing the hose around the backyard?
Now we're talking!
She's full of enthusiasm and approaches life with the same gusto that only a Bulldog can.
When she plays, she plays properly.
Expect zoomies.
Expect wrestling.
Expect the occasional enthusiastic "Bulldog bulldozer" as she barrels happily into the fun. 😆
She's strong, playful and wonderfully goofy, so she'd be best suited to a home with older children who will enjoy her playful nature and won't be accidentally bowled over during one of her excited moments.
Pebbles absolutely loves other dogs and truly thrives with canine companionship.
She has lived happily with French Bulldogs and enjoys making new doggy friends. She's also happily interacted with a Fox Terrier mix and has proven herself to be a wonderfully social girl.
She would love a home with another friendly dog to play, wrestle and share adventures with.
She's also been around chickens and has shown very little interest in them.
Cats, however, remain untested.
Around the home, Pebbles is delightfully easy-going.
She's happy having her face and eyes cleaned, absolutely adores mealtimes, and settles into family life beautifully.
Like many young Bulldogs, she does have a mischievous streak.
If something interesting has been left within reach...
There's every chance Pebbles will decide it belongs to her. 😄
Shoes.
Toys.
Random household treasures.
She likes to investigate first and ask questions later.
Keeping tempting items out of reach will save everyone a laugh—and perhaps a missing sock.
Although Pebbles has grown enormously in confidence, she can still be a little unsure around loud noises or sudden movements. A calm home, gentle guidance and continuing positive experiences will help her confidence continue to flourish.
Watching Pebbles discover the world has been an absolute privilege.
Every new experience.
Every happy tail wag.
Every cuddle.
Every little burst of confidence.
She's discovering that life isn't something to be nervous about...
It's something to be enjoyed.
More than anything, Pebbles is looking for a family who will continue helping her blossom.
A family who will laugh at her silly antics.
Take her on adventures.
Enjoy her playful spirit.
And love the sweet, affectionate Bulldog she's become.
Because underneath that adorable wrinkly face is a beautiful girl who has so much love left to give.

- Your current dogs vaccinations up-to-date and have a copy of the certificate to send thru (please contact your vet asap if you don't have a copy)
- Your dog can travel to the carers location
- You are available to attend the meet and greet within the next 7 days

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
